From the Editor - Welcome to the 2009/2010 season.

"Wally of the Week" The QPR team that took on Middlesbrough and now Watford

"Winner of the Week" The All Whites. drawing WC holders Italy, Paraguay and Slovakia in South Africa next June.

"Who's Next UP?" QPR take on WBA. A game that may decide whether Magilton stays or goes after this pathetic result. Briatore will be fuming and rightly so.

News Now.

08 December 2009 - Watford 3 QPR 1 - Pathetic balless effort played by players more interested in their expensive pay packets. Ageyman scored first after 33 mins and Watford finished the scoring with the very last kick of the game. What was noticable was the QPR players determination to get booked, preferably straight reds and how Stewart and hall didn't get one, God only knows. No leadership on the pitch, No plan "B" off the pitch. No one should have to pay more than 10 quid to watch this lot, anyone who says any different is living in dream world. I expect Flavio will have something to say about this.

04 December 2009 - QPR 1 Middlesbrough 5 - Pathetic and a game which will now have Flavio looking very seriously at Jim Magilton's future. Question: just how many league goals have Vine, Pellicore, Agyemang, and Helgusson scored for QPR this season?? Other than Jay Simpsons 8 goals which is a lot more than the other 4 put together. this site has always been a fan of Leroy Lita and when the chance came last spring to sign him and also Dave Kitson what was done? We signed Pellicore from Serie C. Well Lita scored twice and Kitson scored once as Middlesbrough waltz through a pathetic effort from the hoops.

28 November 2009 - QPR 2 Coventry City 2 - Leon Best put the sku blues ahead before jay Simpson scored his 8th of the season. Yake note Agyemang, Vine, Pellicore and Helgusson. The Akos Buzsaky put the hoops ahead before again a defensive nightmare allowed Coventry to grab a point. Time for a rethink defensively. Hall, Stewart, Borrowdale, Williams, are we really looking at promotion or just going through the motions??

21 November 2009 - Doncaster Rovers 2 QPR 0 - Back after the international break and an inept performance from the hoops. Spoiled by some decent results of late, it was back to business as per normal. The less said the better. QPR need to be taking all three points against teams like Rovers if they really want to get promoted.

07 November 2009 - Sheffield Wednesday 1 QPR 2 - Jay Simpson scored yet again and Kaspars Gorkss scored the late winner for the hoops in a difficult away game. If QPR have any brains, they will pay up and sign Simpson permanently and get rid of a lot of dead wood and bring in Beckford and best, now that Lita and Kitson are happy at Middlesbrough. What hurts is Lita could have been picked up on a free.

30 October 2009 - QPR 1 Leicester City 2 - An inept and uninspiring "live on TV" display allowed a hungry Leicester City grab all three points and ruin the QPR non defeat home record. Adel Raarabt carried on scoring by puttin the hoops ahead before Matt Fryatt scored twice. QPR played like a team of individuals instead of as a team. Come January, I think Messers Stewart, Cerny, Leigertwood, Borrowdale, Ramage and Faurlin could/should be looking for employment in an area more to their skill level, Division 1 beckons. Having watched the game Live on my laptop, I now believe that the A League of FFA (Australia) is now of a higher quality. This remark includes Leicester City.

25 October 2009 - Derby County 2 QPR 4 - The winning feeling continues as QPR claw their way up the table to 6th place with a game in hand. Derby took the lead through veteran Paul Dikov and doubled their lead with a Robbie Savage free kick before the R's finally put possession into goals. Adel Taarabt continued his scoring run, Gavin Mahon and then Jay Simpson scored his 6th of the season before Akos Buzsaky scored a late penalty. It's all coming together and the team were well in control throughout.

20 October 2009 - QPR 4 Reading 1 - QPR continued their awesome home form with another win over a struggling Reading side. Akos Buzsaky scored first from a free kick that was to be taken by Ben Watson but wanker referee Andy Hall, who's pocket often resembles a toaster, gave him a second yellow for taking a free kick too quickly (FFS), Jay Simpson added a second. Rowan Vine opened his account for this season and Patrick Argyemang round off the scoring for the hoops before Reading got their solitary reply. Reading also lost a player shortly after the resumption of the 2nd half and disgruntled Reading fans were chanting "You're gonna get fired in the morning" to their manager at the end of the game.

17 October 2009 - QPR 4 Preston North End 0 - Normal service has resumed after the International break. The bad news that martin Rowlands is out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury on International duty was tempered with a surprising 4-0 drubbing of PNE. Adel Taarabt scored a goal that even Rodney marsh would have been proud of. In fact Rodney was on hand at Loftus Road to witness it. Winger Wayne Routledge nearly added to the score several times in an exciting first half display. He did however score QPR's last goal, a long range effort and in between Akos Buzsaky tucked away a penalty and Jay Simpson added to his tally. A great day for QPR fans and at last the team are showing a consistency for so long missing.

03 October 2009 - Swansea City 2 QPR 0 - Referee 2 QPR 0. Listening to the game one thought that it would end in a stalemate, both teams canceling each other out. That was until Rowlands and Watson received 2 yellow cards each and an early bath. QPR should appeal Rowlands 1st yellow and probably will. Swansea took full advantage after Rowlands went off and went one ahead. Shortly after, Watson received his second yellow and walked. THe Swans then scored their second with 5 mins to go. QPR's 7 game streak coming to an end.

30 September 2009 - Newcastle United 1 QPR 1 - The long trip North East was the real first test for the Hoops this season. Some media pundits were expecting a massacre. Well they were disappointed as the R's took the lead. Ben Watson being the man. Rangers went onto dominate for the most part after Newcastle missed a penalty, then towards the end of the game Harewood equalised and saved Newcastle's blushes. Their perfect home record though was broken.

26 September 2009 - QPR 5 Barnsley 2 - Back to the Championship and barnsley were given a good lesson, although 3-0 down at half time, they did show some form and fight back to 3-2 before QPR restored their domination to run out winners. Akos Buzsaky finally showing form after a long injury break, scored two goals after Mikele Leigertwood opened the scoring. Ben Watson and Jay Simpson added the others in a good result and a much needed first home win.

23 September 2009 - Chelsea 1 QPR 0 Carling Cup Rd 3 - QPR had their moments with Jay Simpson volleying over wildly and Buzsaky curling wide after an exciting run by Routledge. They were holding their own. After the interval, Rowan Vine's ball over the top almost embarrassed the hosts, with Henrique Hilario forced into a rushed clearance as Routledge chased him down. QPR boss Jim Magilton was pleased with his side's application. "We have to use it as a springboard," said Magilton. We have a chance of promotion, like 14 other clubs. We had a lack of belief in the final third but I was immensely proud of the overall performance." Magilton, who started with two strikers, added: "I'm not naive but that is the way I thought we could get after Chelsea. We were encouraged against Cardiff in our last game and some players may not get back to Stamford Bridge so I couldn't deny them that by resting them."

19 September 2009 - Cardiff City 0 QPR 2 - I listened to this game and we were all over them. It was the sort of performance that Hoops fans were hoping from the first day of the season. If they can keep it up, we will be climbing the ladder. Jay Simpson on loan from Arsenal, gave the Hoops their 2nd away win of the season, scoring both goals. Now for that elusive home win.

12 September 2009 - QPR 1 Peterborough 1 - A mish mash of a game where neither side really got to grips. Ben Watson stood out loudly as QPR's best player. Wayne Routledge had a crap game, yet equalised for QPR in the 34th minute. Jay simpson promised so much but delivered little in the finishing stakes. he created himself a lot of chances that he did not capitalise on. Peterborough must have thought they'd won it in the 90th minute but for a late offside ruling. rangers can consider themselves lucky and Jim Magilton can ponder on what sort of reaction will be forthcoming from Flavio Briatore. No home win yet.

29 August 2009 - QPR have drawn a visit to Chelski in the 3rd round of this seasons Carling Cup.

29 August 2009 - Scunthorpe 0 QPR 1 - Jim Magilton holds onto his job thanks to a 3rd minute winner by Adel Taarabt. For how long no one knows but this might be the turning point having gotten this monkey of his and the club's back. QPR dominated the game for the most part but the sense of relief could be heard from as far away as New Zealand.

26 August 2009 - QPR 2 Accrington Stanley 1 - Carling Cup 2nd Round. The obvious set up for a fall from grace. Stanley had their fair share of domination, especially in the first half. No score until Hogan Ephraim put the hoops ahead in the 68th minute. But Stanley would not lay down. Wayne Routledge made it 2-0 in the 90 minute but Symes whom had been a real handful for the QPR defence, grabbed one back in the 94th minute. A nerve wracking game and Flavio getting ready to push the "You're Fired" button after only 4 games.

22 August 2009 - QPR 1 Nottingham Forest 1 - Unlucky to draw, the hoops had their fair chances to win it. Mikele Leigertwood put the R's ahead and they should have won bar for the woodwork. Then Forest equalised and the game became fairly even.

18 August 2009 - Bristol City 1 QPR 0 - A typical uninspiring game although Taarabt hit the post. Taarabt and Routledge caused some serious threats. However, City scored with 12 minutes to go and put their controversial result 3 days earlier behind them.

15 August 2009 - Plymouth Argyle 1 QPR 1 - Heidar Helguson almost grabbed all the points for the hoops until a 90th minute OG from Kaspars Gorkss gave the Pilgrims a share of the points. Still no away wins since January this year.

12 August 2009 - Exeter City 0 QPR 5 - After a 0-0 score at halftime QPR took the lead through Wayne Routledge. He went on and scored a hattrick and was later followed up with goals from debutante Allessandro Pellicori and Hogan Ephraim. Just the second QPR player to score a hattrick in the last 5 years, Routledge joins Ledesma who popped one in in this competition at this round last year.

08 August 2009 - QPR 1 Blackpool 1 - Despite chances being 4-1, QPR had to wait till the 86th minute and Peter Ramage to score his first ever goal to save their blushes. Burgess had put Blackpool ahead in the first half against the run of play. Giving returning former QPR boss Ian Holloway a moment of satisfaction. Ollie or Paladini, I know which one I would trust.

05 August 2009 - A behind the doors warm up saw a QPR IX lose 4-0 to a Chelsea XI with 4 second half goals for the Blues. Our final work out before we reacquaint ourselves with Ian Holloway and his new look Blackpool team. Let the games begin.

14 July 2009 - Update time - The lads head off to Slovenia having won 4-0 at Aldershot in their first pre-season friendly. Of note everyone is back in action except long term injury Martin Rowlands. He's due back any day now. Buzsacky and Vine and "Dave" are all back in full training. Hopefully giving us a decent squad to draw from.

Rumours abound about the signing of striker Allessandro Pellicori from former Serie B side Avellino. But nothing yet on the Official site. Also Ex Sunderland & West ham striker David Connolly is on trial and the trip with QPR. Rumour has it QPR have enquired about taking on Crystal Palace 22 year old Left back Lee Hills. Also Man United have been approached about the services of Reserve Goalkeeper Tom Heaton but he pulled out of the proposed 300k move after not being offered enough dosh. Rangers would also like to take full-back Richard Eckersley, 20, on loan for the season.

But the highlight has been so far the signing of Alejandro Faurlin to realize that the Argentinean midfielder can become a real crowd-pleaser at QPR.

Faurlin became Magilton’s first signing as the new Rangers manager when he agreed a £3.5m fee with Argentine club Instituto for the 22-year-.old.

Magilton and assistant John Gorman had spotted Faurlin among hundreds of DVD's sent in by agents, and he said: “He stood out, so John flew to South America to see him in action. We got him over on trial and straightaway we could see what he was like.

“He’s been terrific in training, his attitude is good and he has a real hunger. I think the fans will take to him, and we hope he can hit the ground running.”

Gorman added: “He’s a big lad – 6ft 2 ins – with a great left foot, but he doesn't just sit out on the wing. He loves to get in there, he can create chances and make things happen.”

There has been some arguments over the fee, some say its only 500k with add on's and wages etc, The club announces it as 3.5 Jim Magilton says he needed just one look at new signing Alejandro Faurlin to realize that the Argentinean midfielder can become a real crowd-pleaser at QPR.

Of the latest friendly, Assistant Manager, John Gorman told the Official QPR Web site, 'It's a great final fixture for us - against a Club that means so much to both myself and Jim

05 May 2009 - So Jim Magilton has been given a 2 year deal, meaning he has 12 games to have QPR in the top three or be sacked. Not the most popular choice by QPR fans who's expectations are matching the club's owners. However, fans were expecting a big name to make the difference between mid-table obscurity and promotion certainties. Be interesting to see how things develop over the next month or so. transfers in (Yeah right) and transfers out.

20 May 2009 - The season is closed  as far as QPR are concerned. A disappointing end to the campaign. Yesterday five players were released. Miller, Rehman, Cole, Arthur & McGuire. Former Hoop, Reece Crowther is trialing with the Wellington Phoenix. No manager as yet and more names in the mix than ever before. To be honest most of the names mentioned are mediocre at best, but who is strong enough to keep our chairman out of team affairs? Flavio, be a chairman, fine, pay the bills, and make sure the club gets it's value for money. Just let the manager manage! Stay away from  team selections and influencing the process a manager goes through. Want to do the club a favour? Reign in Paladini. He seems determined to buy players who are of no use to us and wasting your money!!
